Respect for the environment, nature, people and their culture and animals has been ever in our philosophy, both personal and what is referred to our agency Plan Himalaya.
In this sense we have decided to bet firmly to work in environments where animals are treated in the best way. This refers above all to the elephants in the Chitwan National Park. While we have never detected animal abuse, it is no less true that carrying a platform full of tourists on the back all day is not something we like.
So we are very pleased to announce that we have finally decided to work exclusively with collaborators who do not go on elephant-back safaris, but where the traveller does the safari on foot and is escorted by elephants joining the group, following the recommendations of "Elephant Aid International".
So far only "Tiger Tops' Elephant Camp" is doing in this way. We hope that those responsible for the activities in Chitwan will soon follow this example regarding the treatment of elephants and also other agencies will copy our way of acting.
We are all going to win with it.
